Day three matches in Cincinnati are about to get underway. And having looked at the upcoming matches for today, there are some intriguing upsets that could occur. At the same time, there are some very close contests that I have provided predictions for right here. As for some of the bigger names that are in action today, we’ve got Nadal, Hurkacz, Kyrgios, Tsitsipas, Ruud, Rublev, Murray, and many others. So naturally, there will be some great tennis to watch today.
But coming back to my day three predictions for ATP Cincinnati, I’ve specifically looked at three matches. The three matches I am about to discuss have some great value when it comes to the betting markets. And since these games are right around the corner, let me dive in with my ATP Cincinnati predictions right now.
Match Predictions for Day Three in Cincinnati
Contents
Just to clarify, all of the matches listed here are taking place in Cincinnati today. That’s why I have detailed them as day three predictions. The only way that they won’t take place today is if the weather has other ideas! But assuming the weather holds okay, then these three games are scheduled to get played on Wednesday, August 17th.
So – which matches should you be watching and who should you be backing? Let’s take a look.
Kecmanovic vs Sinner – Sinner to Win
Jannik Sinner had an incredibly tough game against Kokkinakis yesterday, but he scraped through. As for Kecmanovic, he beat the winner of Montreal in his opener, Carreno-Busta. Then again, I feel people are putting a little too much emphasis on this result. Carreno-Busta was no doubt exhausted from his week last week. Not to take anything away from Kecmanovic, but this has to have played a factor in the result.
And Sinner is always going to be a big hitter, which is why I am shooting with the Italian to take the win here. The odds for this are 1.44 right now.
Paul vs Shapovalov – Shapovalov to Win
Tommy Paul has been in fantastic form recently, which is why he is down as the favorite to take the win here. However, Shapovalov is starting to show some signs that he might be getting back up there. This was evident in his opening round where he managed to beat Dimitrov in straight sets. Of course, it will be a battle on the court against Tommy Paul, and Shapovalov has actually lost on both occasions against the American.
But for me, Shapovalov is striking it well and he seems extremely motivated this week. So I am going for him with odds of 2.50.
Bautista-Agut vs Giron – Bautista-Agut to Win
Bautista-Agut is always going to be a solid performer on hard courts. As for Giron, he is a little up and down. Sure, he plays big, but I feel that Bautista-Agut can absorb that pace and use it to his advantage. But most importantly, Bautista-Agut beat Giron in straight sets last week in Montreal. And with odds of 1.40 for him to win, I think this still shows great value.
