And in this case, it’s Aleksandar Vukic that is favored to beat Jason Kubler. Vukic is 62 in the world and the 7th seed for the Western & Southern Open qualifying draw. Whereas for Jason Kubler, he is not seeded, and he hasn’t actually played competitively since Wimbledon in July.

For me, all factors point to a win for Aleksandar Vukic in this match. He’s been playing plenty of tennis recently, which is the complete opposite to Jason Kubler. Additionally, he had a couple of big wins at the Canadian Open after getting into the main draw as a lucky loser.

Given that Kubler has barely been playing any tennis, I feel that Vukic could beat him quite comfortably. Of course, I understand that nothing is guaranteed in tennis, but based on this alone, Kubler will likely be rusty, and Vukic should be match-ready to beat him by a decent margin.

The problem for Kubler is that he hasn’t played any matches for over a month, let alone any hard-court matches. So he will definitely be up against it when he plays Vukic later today.
