No one really believed that Albert Ramos-Vinollas will go this deep in the tournament and the veteran managed to do that winning three matches in three sets. Kecmanovic also faced many challenges but here he is in his fourth semifinal of the year.

In the opening round of the tournament he defeated Dominic Sticker 7-6, 6-1 and then went past Zizou Bergz in three sets.
Kecmanovic played two finals earlier this year. He lost to Casper Ruud in Estoril 6-2, 7-6 and to Taylor Fritz in Delray Beach 6-0, 5-7, 6-2.
This is his first time to play in Gstaad and he won his last title back in 2020 in Kitzbuhel.
