Gerwyn Price vs Gabriel Clemens: Prediction and Betting Tips
We have reached the business end of this year’s World Championship, and each of the eight players left in this year’s tournament will believe that this could be there year. Current world number one Gerwyn Price is hoping to recapture the title he won back in 2021 but in Gabriel Clemens he certainly faces a battle to reach the final four.
Price has been nowhere near his best during his tournament run and has had to survive a few scary moments to reach this stage. Despite not playing at his highest level, Price has still been able to beat former five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld and the trick Jose de Sousa. Price arrives at this quarterfinal full of confidence and will expect to advance to the semi-finals.
Gabriel Clemens headed into this World’s Championship seeded and ranked 25 in the world, and the German number one will be dreaming of becoming his countries first ever World Champion. Clemens has established himself as one of the game’s best, but until this year had often struggled at the World Championship.
A quietly confident player, Clemens has beaten William O’Connor, Jonny Williams and Alan Souttar to reach this stage. They were all matches the German should have won and this test against Price represents the toughest challenge he has had to face by far.
Gerwyn Price to win
Despite this match having all of the abilities to be a closely fought contest, Gerwyn Price should edge this Tungsten battle and should advance to his third World Championship semi-final. Price is a man for the big stage and often comes alive at this stage of a tournament. He will have the majority of the crowd against him, but that often brings out the best in the Welshman. Price on his day is the best player in the world and with the added experience of playing at this level should just have too much for Clemens to handle.

Gerwyn Price vs Gabriel Clemens: Head To Head
The two have locked horns four times in their careers with Price leading the head-to-head series 4-0. It has been some time since they last played with the pairs last meeting coming back in 2020 where Price defeated Clemens in the World Cup of Darts. This will be their first ever meeting at a World Championship.
Gerwyn Price: Performance Analysis
It’s been a year of up and downs for Price, who hasn’t quite matched his previous level from previous years but has still done enough to maintain his status as the worlds number one. Price hasn’t been at his dominant best during his run to the quarterfinals but has lost just two sets. His 4-0 third round win over Raymond van Barneveld showed what Price can do and if he brings anything like that level of performance into this match – he should have too much for Clemens to handle.
Gabriel Clemens: Performance Analysis
Over the last few seasons Gabriel Clemens has established himself as one of the most consistent players on the PDC Tour and the big German is starting to cement his class in some of the world’s biggest tournaments. Clemens victories at this stage have all come against opponents he would have expected to beat, but he deserves huge credit for the way he battled back from 3-1 down to Jonny Williams to eventually beat the Welshman 4-3. This is as far as Clemens has ever reached at the World Championship and if he is to shock Price he will need to produce something special.
