Where to Watch Italy vs Ireland

This weekend, the winner of the Six Nations 2023 could well be decided.

With the tournament crossing the halfway mark this weekend as Round Three unfolds, how the next three games play out may determine who lifts the trophy in a month’s time. Ireland will be hoping for an easy win over Italy, while they’ll eagerly be watching to see if Scotland remain unbeaten against France, and England remain in touching distance with a win over Wales.

We look at where to watch Italy vs Ireland, and briefly preview this game as well.

Italy vs Ireland Preview

This match is expected to be the least competitive of the three played out this round, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be important for both teams.

With Ireland the heavy bookmaker favourites to win the Six Nations now, and Italy the regular wooden spooners of this competition, it’s unlikely we’ll see much of a contest here. For Ireland, they’ll be looking to get through this match as unscathed as possible, and claim a bonus point with some padding to their points difference as well, just in case they lose a match to Scotland or England and this Six Nations becomes a tight race.

For Italy, however, they have playmaker Paolo Garbisi back, and will be eager to retain their progress made over the past 12 months. Italy appear to have made big strides in their rugby recently, and won’t want to have that undone by allowing this match to become a blow out. Even if they are likely to lose, expect Italy to fight tooth and nail to make this as close as possible for their own pride.
