Although it is impossible to win the Six Nations after two weekends, it is certainly possible to throw away any chance of success after Round 2! That could well be the position for England or Italy, the two teams in action at Twickenham on Saturday, who were both on the receiving end of home defeats across the opening round of fixtures.
This is a game that rugby fans will not want to miss. See below where to watch England vs Italy as well as a short preview of the action.
England vs Italy Preview
Appointing a new head coach only six weeks before the start of the 2023 Six Nations meant that England were always going to be a work in progress in the opening weeks of the tournament. There was plenty of spirit but the team looked disjointed at times in their defeat to Scotland. We expect the hosts to be more efficient in this game and to just about have enough to avoid an upset.
Beginning their campaign by hosting France, followed by a trip to Twickenham, it was always going to be a tough Six Nations 2023 schedule for Italy. However, they showed plenty of character to turn a 19-6 deficit into a 24-22 lead and they will certainly not be lacking for desire and attitude in this game.
Our prediction is for Italy to cause England some problems, but for the hosts to get the win in the end.
