After a series of difficult results, Pasto and Aguilas have very little to play for in relation to the Primera A title in Colombia. Despite that, both teams will be keen to end the post-season on a high in preparation for next season. Ahead of the clash, here are some free tips and predictions to take a look at.

Pasto to Win

Pasto may well be winless in their previous four fixtures and all but out of contention for the playoff final, but they still go into this one in better spirits than their opponents. Aguilas entered the post-season full of confidence and dreaming of a maiden Colombian title after finishing top of the table but have slumped to three defeats in their last four matches. Leonel Alvarez’s men won’t be looking forward to this away trip and we fully expect Pasto to come out on top.

Under 2.5 goals

If there was ever a game that looked destined to be low-scoring then it’s this one. Not only are both teams in miserable form but they are also both struggling to find goals. All four of Pasto’s post-season fixtures have seen less than two goals while the same can be said for Aguilas’ previous three fixtures after seemingly being rattled by their 5-3 opener with Petrolera.

As we’ve just been saying, both of these sides have been struggling in front of goal in recent weeks and the first halves of their games have been incredibly boring. All four of Pasto’s post-season games have been goalless at half time which suggests they are a team who likes to keep things tight until half time. Aguilas are marginally more prolific in the first half of games but considering they are the away team, we expect them to play to the tune of Pasto.

Pasto perhaps weren’t expecting much when they scraped into the playoffs on the final day of the Colombian regular season so it isn’t all that surprising that they are winless to date in Group A. Flabio Torres will be happy with how his team have battled for every point so far and will be confident that they can get something here again against a struggling Aguilas side. If they can get a win, then continental football next season is still on the cards.

Aguilas, on the other hand, finished top of the regular season so would have been expecting to be on more than one point after four games in Group A. The form of Marco Perez is a worry for Leonel Alvarez with the star striker goalless in his last three games. Given how prolific he was in the regular season, it’s fair to say that when Perez isn’t on form then Aguilas don’t play well which is concerning to say the least.
