The British driver is one of the most active characters in the world of sports, thanks to his efforts to promote diversity, campaigning for LGBTQ+ rights and speaking out on environmental concerns. He is also one of the richest F1 drivers.

Lewis Hamilton’s net worth is estimated to be around $285 million as of 2023. In a large form, that comes from his Formula 1 contracts, first from McLaren and -for the past ten years- from Mercedes, but he also has a variety of endorsements.

The current contract between Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes is rumoured to be in the range of $55 million per year. The seven-time World Champion signed his latest contract in July of 2021, coming off the back of four consecutive titles and is currently in discussions to extend his partnership with the German manufacturer, which started in 2013. His earlier contracts with the team were around $50 million per year, a big increase over the 5-year, $90 million he was rumoured to sign with his previous team, McLaren, back in 2008.
On top of that, he is estimated to earn around $10 million in endorsements. His most high-profile partnership is with Tommy Hilfinger, which is reportedly earning him $4 million. He has even launched his very own collaboration with the American fashion house, which is also sponsoring Mercedes. According to Forbes, he is also sponsored by Bose, Monster Energy, Police, Puma and Electronic Arts.
His total earnings of $65 million per year rank him at 21st position among other athletes. At the top of the list is Cristiano Ronaldo at $136 million. Hamilton though is first among the rest of the Formula 1 drivers, with Max Verstappen second at $64 million.

The British driver is rumoured to be owning four properties, at New York, London, Geneva and Monte Carlo. The first among the aforementioned is the most expensive, estimated around $43 million.
Hamilton owns quite a collection of cars. He owns a Mercedes-AMG Project One, his team’s highest-performing vehicle, which is worth $2 million. He also owns a Mercedes-AMG SLS Black, as well as a Mercedes-AMG G63, the 6×6 off-roader.
Despite never driving for the famous Italian team, Hamilton owns three Ferraris. Those are the LaFerrari, the 599 SA Aperta and the LaFerrari Aperta, all of which are in the $2.2 to $1.4 million range.
He also owns a car from his former team, McLaren, the McLaren P1. Another high-performing car that formerly was in the seven-time champion’s hands was a special version of the Pagani Zonda 760, the 760 ‘LH’.
He is also owns a few classic cars, a 1967 Shelby Cobra 427, a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and a 1965 Mini Cooper S. The latter has also been owned by the legendary Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr.
He also owns a few high-performing motorcycles from Ducati and MV Agusta. The latter has produced some bikes in collaboration with Hamilton, including the Dragster RR LH44 and the F4 LH44.
Finally, Hamilton is reported to own a $4 million yacht. He also owned $22.5 million private jet, which he sold in 2019.
