Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Braga as Los Blancos aim to put one foot in the Champions League knockout stage by extending their 100% start to this season’s competition.
It’s an all Iberian affair and Braga will be hungry for an upset as they target a win which would move them level with Real Madrid on 6 points. That outcome would certainly blow the race for qualification from this group wide open with Napoli and Union Berlin also harbouring hopes of making it into the Last 16.

Braga vs Real Madrid UEFA Champions League team news
Real Madrid are in pretty good shape selection wise here with the exception of long-term absentees Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao. Dani Ceballos has been carrying a knock but is some way down the pecking order in any case while youngster Arda Guler is the only other likely absentee although he’s nearing fitness.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team can take confidence from a 3-2 win at Napoli in their previous Champions League match. It should be a similar eleven on Tuesday in Portugal although the Italian may consider some rotation given Real Madrid travel to Barcelona this coming weekend for El Clasico.
Real Madrid predicted lineup
Kepa, Fran Garcia, Alaba, Nacho, Vazquez, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Modric, Bellingham, Vini, Joselu
Real Madrid key players – Our top three
Vini Junior – Brazilian getting back to his best?
It’s a new role this season for Vini Junior with no Karim Benzema to link up with, meaning the young Brazilian is operating in a central role alongside either Joselu or Rodrygo.
He’s not hit top form yet with injuries hampering his start to the 2023/24 season but has scored 3 goals in 8 appearances this term for Real Madrid. He was sadly again the victim of racist abuse in the 1-1 draw at Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday.
Jude Bellingham – Already irreplaceable
Some new signings take time to settle into the cauldron that is the Santiago Bernabeu with the pressure of playing for such a huge club weighing heavily on the shoulders of many.
Not Jude Bellingham though. The 20 year old has already established himself as perhaps the most important player in his new team with 10 goals in 11 appearances in all competitions so far for his new club.
Ancelotti has only opted to rest Bellingham on one occasion to date and he’s unlikely to go without the midfielder here.
Luka Modric – Croatian to rotate in?
The potential for rotation ahead of the trip to Barcelona, means Luka Modric could be in line for just his fifth start of the season in Real Madrid colours.
While he’s yet to score or assist for his club this term, Modric is still providing quality in midfield with a passing accuracy of 90.5% in La Liga and 91.7% in the UEFA Champions League.
He’ll be hoping to provide passes to open up Braga’s central defence which may consist of Sikou Niakate and Serdar Saatci.
Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Braga – The Final Word
Having won their opening two games, Real Madrid are not under any real pressure here. They’ll still strongly back themselves to progress as group winners even if they lose this game and that reality may have a big impact on Carlo Ancelotti’s team selection.
The visitors will still be targeting three points though and with players of Modric’s quality potentially rotating in, on paper they should still have enough to edge out Braga.
