Four players Man Utd could sign in summer transfer window

Four players Man Utd could sign in summer transfer window

Man Utd can definitely say they have improved under the watchful eye of manager Erik ten Hag, with the Red Devils enjoying a very strong first campaign under the Dutchman.

The Manchester outfit reached two finals in the League Cup and FA Cup, defeating Newcastle in the former and losing to Man City in the latter.

Most important, however, was the clinching of a top four spot in the Premier League, with the Red Devils securing third spot behind Man City and Arsenal.

But while they have come on leaps and bounds under Ten Hag, the club definitely need to strengthen in the summer transfer window in order to continue their improvement.

The manager will undoubtedly lose some of his players in the summer transfer window, but more excitingly for fans, he will be bringing in a handful of new faces.

Four players Man Utd could sign this summer

Mason Mount

Looking the most likely to be the first face in the door at Old Trafford this summer is Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, with Man Utd having already made an approach regarding his signature, according to Sky Sports.

It would definitely be a top signing for the Red Devils, with Mount proving his ability at the highest level time and again for the Blues.

Injuries have hampered his progression lately, but there is a real possibility of the England international quickly finding his feet at Man Utd.

David Raya

One main area that Ten Hag could look to bolster this summer is goalkeeper, with current number one David de Gea coming under constant criticism for his big-game errors, with the latest such criticism coming in the 2-1 FA Cup final loss to Man City on Saturday.

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya meanwhile enjoyed a superb campaign for the Bees, and significantly, looks certain to be on the move this summer, with Thomas Frank already bringing in fellow goalkeeper Mark Flekken.

Dusan Vlahovic

Goals have not exactly been an issue for Ten Hag’s men, but the manager wouldn’t say no to a few more heroics in the final third, particularly given how much of the scoring burden has fallen on talented forward Marcus Rashford.

The boss turned to Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst this season to provide an attacking outlet, but that loan switch hasn’t exactly worked out how all parties involved intended.

One striker that could hit the ground running is Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic, although Man Utd are seemingly in a battle for his services with many top clubs, including Bayern Munich and Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Benjamin Pavard

And another European star that Man Utd may try and bring to Old Trafford in the coming months is Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

The French international has reportedly told his club he won’t be extending his time at the Allianz Arena, with his contract expiring this summer.

Again, however, Man Utd could be involved in a lengthy battle for his services, with Barcelona and Inter Milan just two of the clubs who have been linked with a deal for the 27-year-old.
