Ellis Genge parents, siblings, and family: Who is Baby Rhino’s mother?

Ellis Genge is a professional rugby player who since May 2016, has been part of England’s rugby team and is currently playing for his hometown club Bristol Bears in the English Premiership Rugby League. Nicknamed ‘Baby Rhino’ Genge is a powerful prop that is famous for his powerful ball-carrying and hard tackles. Genge was named the best loosehead prop in World Rugby’s team of the year on November 21, 2022. Ellis is now one of England’s main players at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Who are Ellis Genge’s parents?

Ellis Genge was born on February 16, 1995, in Bristol, England. His father’s name is Richard Genge but his mother’s name is unknown. More on that below.

Richard Genge is an ordinary fixer and hard worker, who among other low-paid jobs has operated as a certified plumber in Bristol and the surrounding area for a few decades. Richard hasn’t been able to earn large fortunes despite his hard labour and he raised his family in a council housing at Bristol’s Knowle West Council estate.

Richard couldn’t afford to give his son Ellis any special education and the boy attended the local John Cabot Academy before entering Hartpury College as their rugby captain. Ellis seems to have had little parental guidance from his father and the son has endured some tough times during his teenage years, including several arrests for small violations.

Richard seems to have stopped working as a plumber in recent years and not much is known about his current occupation.

There is a total mystery surrounding Ellis Genge’s biological mother. Her name is unknown and nothing much is known about her. What little we can say about her is that at least during the early years of Ellis’ childhood she was around and helping with the boy’s upbringing.

It is also known that she is of mixed origins, and most likely has North African or Asian parents. All else is kept private by the family and we have to respect that.

It seems the mother has moved away at some stage over the last 15 years and from his teenage days onward Ellis has relied mainly on himself and his father regarding his upbringing.

Who are Ellis Genge’s siblings?

Ellis Genge has a younger sister. Her name is Jasmine Genge and she too is a rugby player. The siblings don’t look much alike and as they grew up this led to some difficulties and abuse with other peers calling them unrelated. Ellis has dark hair and eyes, while his sister Jasmine has blond hair and blue eyes.

The family is close and at least Jasmine, Ellis and their father Richard try to gather as often as they can in their hometown Bristol for chats and catch-up.
