The game is scheduled for Thursday, August 24th and will be played at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraidah. The kick-off time is 19:00 GMT. Now, let’s look at all the team news and also at our Al Raed vs Al Hilal predicted lineups.

Al Raed vs Al Hilal Predicted Lineups and News

Before we go into more details regarding the Al Raed vs Al Hilal possible lineups we’ll give you the latest team news for each team and what that means for their overall strength. And if you can’t make it to the stadium don’t worry, you can always enjoy all the action on TV.

Team news: Al Raed

Al Raed are a modest team which only aims to stay out of trouble. This was reflected in the first results. Al Raed are yet to put points on the board or score a goal as they started the new season with back-to-back defeats. Last weekend the 0-1 away loss vs Abha, a direct rival for survival, was a painful one as the display wasn’t that bad.

In the first 2 games, Al Raed were without their Moroccan forward Mohammed Fouzair, who was the team’s top goalscorer last season. Fouzair trains again though and he’s expected to make his debut in the coming match.

Still might be missing their Norwegian playmaker Normann though. He’s trying to overcome COVID but has yet to resume proper training.

Al Raed Predicted Lineups (4-4-2):

Moreira – Al Jayzani, Gonzalez, Al Fahad, Al Sobeai – Al Dossary, Al Beshe, Loum, Sunbul – Tavares, Fouzair

Team news: Al Hilal

Al Hilal lost the title they won in the 3 previous campaigns last season. Hungry to return to the top of the pile coach Jorge Jesus was given big money and he spent it on several top players. The ex-Chelsea and Napoli centre-back Koulibaly, arguably the best midfielder in Seria A Milinkovic-Savic and the Wolves playmaker Ruben Neves are just some of the names that have joined Al Hilal already. Not satisfied with ‘only’ that Al Hilal added Neymar and Mitrovic to their ranks most recently.

Al Hilal beat Abha 3-1 away from home at the start of the campaign thanks to Malcom’s hat trick. However, last weekend they dropped precious points in a frustrating 1-1 home draw vs Al Feyha. The main reason for the result was the awful wastefulness in front of the goal that was shown.

A return to winning ways is expected now in what is Al Hilal’s favourite opponents in the domestic league. Al Hilal have won 28 of the 33 H2Hs while losing just once in those 33 matches vs Al Raed.

Centre-back Hyun-Soo Jang has been nursing an injury recently. He is yet to play. Also, two of the big summer signings Koulibaly and Neymar won’t be available due to injuries. Even without those the squad is stuffed with talent and the newest addition to it the ex-Fulham striker Aleksandr Mitrovic might be making his debut.

Al Hilal Predicted Lineups (4-2-3-1):

Al Owais – Al Shahrani, Al Bulayhi, N. Al Dawsari, Abdulhamid – Neves, Milinkovic-Savic – S. Al Dawsari, Al Hamdam, Michael – Malcolm

Will Neymar play for Al Hilal?

The big new signing of Al Hilal Neymar is nursing an ankle injury and unfortunately for his team, he is set to miss the next 4 weeks while he recovers from it.
