Contents
Norwich to Win
Blackburn’s confidence would have been rocked by their 4-1 reverse to Preston last weekend and Rovers should be vulnerable for their visit to Norwich on Saturday. Despite sitting in third spot in the Championship, Blackburn’s record on the road is poor and having lost seven of their 11 away assignments already, more misery could await in Norfolk.
Norwich to Keep a Clean Sheet
Rovers are still third in the Championship, though they have already lost 45% of their fixtures in the division and remarkably, they have failed to score more often on the road than any other team in the league. In total, Blackburn have failed to notch in 64% of their away skirmishes and that dismal record in the final third suggests there is value in backing Norwich to claim a clean sheet this weekend.
Teemu Pukki to Score Anytime
Teemu Pukki has been outshone by teammate Josh Sargent this term, though the iconic Finnish striker was Norwich’s match-winner in their first game back in the saddle against Swansea last weekend and the 32-year-old could be the Canaries’ biggest dangerman again on Saturday. Pukki’s winner last week will have galvanised his self-belief and we’re tipping him to showcase his finishing skills again on Saturday.
Norwich vs Blackburn News & Injuries
Read all of the latest injury updates and team news for Saturday’s Championship clash between Norwich and Blackburn below.
Norwich
Sam Byram still has a hamstring injury and won’t be back in the fold for Norwich until January. In midfield, John Rowe and Jakob Sorensen are also absent, though Marcelino Nunez will hope to earn a spot in the matchday squad following a hamstring complaint. City can replace Rovers in third spot in the Championship with a win on Saturday.
Blackburn
Defender Harry Pickering is ill at present though he should be ok to join the squad again on Saturday. Sam Barnes has a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined until the New Year. In attack, Jack Vale is inching his way back from a calf injury but Saturday’s game could come too soon.
