Motherwell to win, draw no bet

Aberdeen fired Stephen Glass after their loss to Motherwell last weekend; despite bringing in a new manager, things have not improved, as they failed to beat last-placed St Johnstone at home. Aberdeen have lost three of their last four games, and they are winless in their last six games. Motherwell have been relatively better, they have two wins in their last seven games. Also, the Well have dominated Aberdeen in recent years; they’ve won their last three clashes with Aberdeen, and they’ve lost just once in their last seven meetings. With this in mind, we’re leaning towards Motherwell for the win.

Someone’s blanking

Motherwell have not scored a lot of goals recently, they failed to score in four of their last six games. To be fair, Aberdeen have scored their fair share of goals; however, they tend to fall short when they play against Motherwell. Aberdeen failed to score in five of their last seven clashes with Motherwell; they scored just three goals in those seven games. At least one side has blanked in seven of the last eight encounters between these sides; considering at least one side failed to score in four of Motherwell’s last six games, one of these teams should blank.

Don’t expect lots of goals

We’ve already established that meetings between these two have mostly been one-sided in terms of scoring goals; we would also like to add that their encounters tend to be on the low-scoring side as well. Four of the last five clashes between these teams went below the 2.5 goal line. Additionally, Motherwell’s most recent games have not seen a lot of goals; four of their last six games went under 2.5. On that note, our final prediction for this game is under 2.5 total goals.
