Hearts to take three points
Hibs have not enjoyed the best of form recently; they’ve won just one of their last six games, with four draws and a loss. Shaun Maloney’s men played 15 games away from home, and they won just three of them. On the other hand, we have a Hearts side that’s unbeaten in their last six games; they won four and drew two of those six games. Additionally, Hearts have been one of the best home teams in the Premiership; they’ve played 16 home games, and they won 10 of them, losing just three times, with two of those losses coming against Celtic and Rangers. It’s also worth mentioning that Hearts have no losses in their last four meetings with Hibernian; all things considered, we’re making the prediction that Hearts will take all the points from this match.
Someone will keep a clean sheet
Hibernian have done a good job defensively, especially in the Premiership; they kept four clean sheets in their last six league games. We would like to point out that Hibs’ league games have mostly been one-sided in terms of goals; at least one side blanked in seven of their last nine league games. To be fair, Hearts also kept their fair share of clean sheets; they did not concede in three of their last five league games. Furthermore, the last two clashes between Hearts and Hibernian ended in goalless draws; and for this reason, we believe that one of these teams will not concede.
A game lacking goals
Most of Hibernian’s games have been on the low-scoring side, especially in the league; seven of their last nine league games saw less than three goals scored. In fact, three of Hibs’ last five league games ended goalless. Similarly, four of Hearts’ last five league games went below the 2.5 goal margin. It’s also noteworthy that four of the last five encounters between these two saw less than three goals scored at the end of regulation time; with this in mind, this will likely be a low-scoring game.
