Contents
Coventry Draw no Bet
Both Coventry and Swansea were beaten 1-0 on their returns to Championship action last weekend, though we’re tipping the Sky Blues to bounce back at the Swans’ expense on Saturday. Coventry had won three home assignments on the bounce before the break and their improving performances at The Coventry Building Society Arena could drag them over the line here.
Under 2.5 Goals
Despite their mid-table status, Coventry have conceded fewer goals at home (6) than any other team in the Championship this term, though their goal haul at the opposite end (10) has been modest. As a result, 78% of their home games in the second tier have featured two or fewer goals and another stake on under 2.5 goals could be the way to go when they host Swansea.
Viktor Gyokeres to Score Anytime
Viktor Gyokeres is Coventry’s leading marksman with nine goals this season and though the Swedish striker failed to get on the scoresheet against Reading last weekend, we’re tipping the 24-year-old to rediscover his touch against Swansea. Four of Gyokeres’s last five Championship goals were notched in home games and he can bolster that tally further on Saturday.
Coventry vs Swansea News & Injuries
Read all of the latest injury updates and team news for Saturday’s Championship bout between Coventry and Swansea below.
Coventry
Defender Fankaty Dabo has a muscle injury and isn’t available on Saturday. Further forward, Coventry could also be without the services of Tyler Walker and Matt Godden, who are both aiming to return to the fold by the end of the month. Coventry are five places below Swansea in the table, though a win on Saturday would put City ahead of the Welshmen.
Swansea
Swansea have a full complement of players available to them for their trip to the Midlands. A clean injury record didn’t help the Swans against Norwich last time out, however. Manager Russell Martin favours a 4-2-3-1 formation, so expect a similar set-up this weekend.
