Both Teams To Score – Yes

Both teams have scored in this historic Valencian fixture in seven of the last eight meetings between the two sides, with Levante opening the scoring in four out of five of the previous encounterss. Valencia are the first to concede in four out of five of their last La Liga fixtures but are likely to finish strongly against their inter-city rivals.

Match Result – Valencia

Valencia, despite trailing Levante by two points in the La Liga table, are unbeaten in eight games against their city rivals – and won the latest meeting 4-2 at the Mestalla in September. Valencia also picked up a vital victory last time out against high-flying Villarreal. The odds of 5/2 on an away win present great value for money.

Total Goals – Over 2.5

Along with the tendency for both teams to score in this fixture, the Derby del Turia has experienced over 2.5 goals in five of the last seven meetings. Both sides have also scored considerably more goals than other teams in the bottom half of La Liga.

Levante vs Valencia: Match Preview

Levante

Despite winning just once in their last eight, this win did come in the form of an impressive 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in February. Last time out, Levante were defeated 1-0 by Real Sociedad in a tight encounter. Despite currently being in the bottom half, a win in this derby could take the home side as high as eighth.

Levante will be without Sergio Leon, Rober Pier, Sergio Postigo, Nemanja Radoja, Gonzalo Melero and Jose Campana who all remain injured for the derby clash.

Valencia

Valencia have staved off any early-season relegations fears, and are now looking to string together some impressive form to assault the top half after a great 2-1 comeback against Villarreal last time out. Javi Gracia’s side is looking to win consecutive La Liga games for the first time this season.

The away side will be missing the vital quartet of Maxi Gomez, Carlos Soler, Uros Racic and Jose Gaya through suspension, while Cristiano Piccini and Denis Cheryshev are injured.
