Hibs to remain on top with another win

Hibs find themselves sitting top of the Scottish Premiership after three games unbeaten to start the campaign. Our prediction is that their unbeaten streak will continue against Livingston courtesy of another victory. Livingston are yet to take a single point from their three league games and are on a four game winless run in all competitions. To further convince you as to why Hibs are the team to back we suggest a look at the head to head record; of the last 10 meetings at Easter Road Livingston have a record of won one, drawn three and lost six.

Goals, plenty of goals

Next up in our three betting tips is an over 2.5 prediction. The logic for this one is simple with all the stats suggesting we’ll see at least three goals. Three of the last five head to head meetings have gone over 2.5 goals with the average sitting at 3.0 per game. More recent form supports the prediction too. Hibs’ last five games in all competitions have exceeded 2.5 on three occasions also; their game average is 3.2 goals. Finally, you have the form of Livingston who have surpassed 2.5 in four of their last five. Like the h2h, their game average is 3.0 goals.

Livingston will contribute goals to decent encounter

Finally, we have this game down as an encounter where both teams will score with the supporting evidence reading similar to that spoken about in the over 2.5 tip. Three of Hibs’ last five have seen both teams net. For Livingston, that has been the case in four of their past five matches and, to cap the stats off, four of the last five meetings have also seen both Hibs and Livingston on the score sheet.

Hibs vs Livingston: Another tough result for Livingston to swallow

Hibs

Hibs find themselves top of the league and it is no fluke. They were eliminated from the Europa Conference League after a 4-1 away loss to Rijeka but it’s the only blemish they have in a 12 game period with eight wins in that time too; they’re a good outfit and will have aspirations of trying to push the two Glasgow giants as hard as possible. If they’re to do that, two things will need to happen. Firstly, they’ll have to win games like this and, secondly, they’ll need people like Kevin Nisbet and Josh Doig to stay fit.

Livingston

Livingston’s form in the Premiership has been undeniably poor with three defeats from three. Despite that, the mood in the camp won’t be in too dark a place because they have been getting positive results in the League Cup, which have helped keep spirits up. Those cup games together with the fact their last two league defeats have been by one goal will have them thinking they can compete when things break their way. A big performance from Bruce Anderson wouldn’t go amiss though.
