Slovakia Double Chance
With just one defeat in five fixtures since early September, Slovakia have been a tough nut to crack on the international scene and Norway could find it difficult to shoot down The Falcons in Friday’s friendly encounter. With little at stake, intensity levels are likely to be low in Oslo, so don’t expected either side to push too hard for victory at the Ullevaal Stadion. With that considered, Slovakia are an excellent shout at even money to avoid defeat.
Under 2.5 Goals
Friendly fixtures are rarely action-packed and four of Norway’s last six non-competitive matches produced under 2.5 goals. Similarly, four of Slovakia’s last five friendly tests saw two or fewer goals scored and with Friday’s game viewed as a chance for both coaches to use untried players and tactics, another disjointed, low-scoring tussle could ensue.
Over 0.5 Slovakia Team Goals
Norway’s return of just three clean sheets from their last eight games doesn’t make for great reading and Slovakia – who bagged eight goals in their last two away fixtures – should have enough about them in the final third to register at the Ullevaal Stadion, even if it is only once. In a game that offers little in the way of exciting betting options, a stake on the visitors to score over 0.5 times could be a plumb bet at the prices on offer.
Norway vs Slovakia Match Preview and Team News
Norway
Ståle Solbakken has named two uncapped players in his squad for this month’s friendlies in Molde keeper Jacob Karlstrom and Genoa defender Leo Skiri Ostigard. Borussia Dortmund hotshot, Erling Haaland, has been included and he should see minutes following a recent injury layoff.
Slovakia
Dominik Holec, Christián Herc, Martin Regáli are all new faces in the Slovakia ranks this week. Experienced midfielders Marek Hamsik and Juraj Kuka are not with The Falcons, however, while winger Miroslav Stoch and forwards Robert Mak and Valadimir Weiss have also been left out.
