Anderlecht vs Antwerp – Predictions, Odds & Best Betting Tips
It’s been a far from perfect start to the Championship round for either of these teams and both could do with a win. Who will get it? Find out with our Anderlecht vs Antwerp preview here along with the predictions and free tips we mention along the way.
Home side to win
Neither of these sides are in amazing form right now but Anderlecht do have a couple of major things in their favour heading into this match. Firstly, they played Antwerp just a couple of days ago and thrashed them 4-0. Secondly, they have gone unbeaten in seven home games having won six and drawn one. As for Antwerp, they are currently in a four game winless run having lost two and drawn two and, perhaps more importantly, they’ve lost three of their last five away matches.
Anderlecht to keep a clean sheet
We’ve already mentioned that Anderlecht beat Antwerp 4-0 last time out but that clean sheet is far from a one off for the home side. They’ve kept three clean sheets in their last four matches and in each of their last two home games. Antwerp meanwhile have failed to find the net in any of their last three matches and have scored just two goals in their last five matches. Their last away game saw them blank in front of game.
Going north of 2.5 goals
Our final Anderlecht vs Antwerp prediction is that we will see at least three goals in the match. Anderlecht have gone north of the 2.5 goal mark in three of their last five matches and in four of their last five home games. Antwerp’s record is less convincing with two of their last four away games going over 2.5 and just one of their last five matches. That said, the head to head record does show goals are to be expected; each of the last two meetings have seen at least three goals.

Anderlecht vs Antwerp: Team News
Anderlecht haven’t been losing many games of late but winning has proved tough in their last few matches. That said, they have a fantastic home record heading into this game and in Francis Amuzu have a striker who will strike fear into the Antwerp backline; he scored a hat-trick when they met a few days ago.
Not only do Antwerp arrive here as underdogs based on form but they are also missing a few players. Bjorn Engels and Buta both missing from the defence. They do have a ray of hope though in the shape of Michael Frey; he bagged 22 goals in the regular season.
