Our top free tips for Chile vs Bolivia

Chile to win and BTTS

We’ve already pointed out that Chile arrive in this match as the much-fancied side. They sit 62 places higher in the FIFA rankings, are in better form, have a better head-to-head record and, perhaps most importantly, clearly have the better players. That takes care of the Chile to win prediction. Then comes the BTTS factor. At the time of writing, their last six games have seen them draw a blank just once; that was against a full-strength Brazil too. Chile meanwhile have just one clean sheet in their last five.

Over 3.5 goals

Based on our prediction of Chile to win and BTTS you already have a minimum score of 2-1. Another goal on top of that would see the over 3.5 goals tip win too. What makes us think 3.5 goals is achievable? Well, it’s predominantly a thought process driven off Bolivia’s recent record. Of their last five matches, four have seen over 3.5 goals with the odd one out seeing three. Chile’s form isn’t as convincing with a total of 17 goals in their last five; even so, that’s still an average of 3.4 goals per match. All things considered, it looks decent value.

Bolivia to score over 0.5 goals

We’ve already suggested that Bolivia will find the net in one of our earlier tips. This bet enables you to back them to end the match with their total goals over 0.5. Of course, this simply means they have to score once. In their last 10 outings they’ve only failed to find the net on three occasions – once against Ecuador and twice against Brazil. The odds suggest a probability of Bolivia scoring of around 45%. They’ve scored in 70% of their last 10. There are other factors to consider but on the surface, it looks like a decent bet.

Chile vs Bolivia Preview: Young talent on show

Chile

Arturo Vidal is a notable missing name from the last international break but that doesn’t mean Chile are short on quality. There will be a lot of attention on their youthful attacking players; Carlos Palacios of Chilean Primera Division side Union Espanola and hopeful debutant Clemente Montes are perhaps the most exciting to watch. That said, Cesar Pinares is the form player with four assists in his last three matches for club side Gremio. There will be a few familiar faces on the show too though. Claudio Bravo is likely to be in goal whilst eagle-eyed Man United fans might spot their former ‘potential wonderkid’ Angelo Henriquez.

Bolivia

Chile will look to their potential stars to win the match for them. Bolivia will be hoping not to be embarrassed; by not being at home, they’ve already lost their biggest weapon – the altitude. On top of that, several of their overseas players are due to miss out on this fixture. Of course, they still have big players within the XI they’re expected to send out though. Who should you keep an eye on? Well, Bruno Miranda, 23, carries a goal threat. He netted 12 in 18 last season for Bolivian club side Royal Pari.
