Celtic to record another home win to nil
Celtic might have lost three of their past five games to continue a rather unprecedented poor start to the campaign. Despite that we fancy them to beat Dundee United and with relative comfort as they keep a clean sheet. Despite their struggles Celtic have a good home record and have won their last four without conceding a single goal. Dundee United’s form has been decent enough but their are two noticeable blemishes on their record – losses to Hibs and Hearts.
A much needed win with room to spare
Our next prediction is another one that backs Celtic to win this ease with an element of ease. We know Celtic have had a few wobbles this season but they’re on a seven game winning run on their own patch and six of them – including the last four – have all seen Celtic win by at least two goals. It’s already been touched on that Dundee United won’t be a pushover but they have lost three games in their last 10; when they have lost they’ve always done so by more than the solitary goal.

So, we’ve already made the prediction that Celtic will win to nil and that they’ll have breathing space. Here we stick our neck out further and suggest they’ll win the game 3-0. It’s a score line they’ve beaten Dundee United by twice in the last three meetings at Celtic Park. On top of that, the last two matches Celtic have played at home have ended that way too. Dundee United also shipped three goals in their last defeat. It’s a result that could easily happen and with the odds available, it’s well worth a punt.

It wasn’t all that long ago Celtic were talking about ’10 in a row’; a title seems a long way off now even at this very early stage. With Kyogo Furuhashi out injured the firepower will be lacking but David Turnball and Liel Abada have both been amongst the goals this season too.

In the summer, Dundee United keeper Benjamin Siegrist was expected to leave the club. As it’s turned out, he’s stayed out and has now kept five clean sheets from eight games. Celtic will pose a big threat and he’ll need to be fully focussed; an at it Ryan Edwards in front of him will help no end.
