Milwaukee Bucks to Win on Spread (-5)
We don’t see Miami Heat coming back in this series. It’s possible that they can get a win in Game 4, but that’s the most they can achieve. After all, a team winning the series after going down 0-3 has never happened in the history of the NBA.
That being said, we don’t even expect the Heat to avoid being swept. Milwaukee Bucks look much better at the moment, as they did in the regular season. All of their main players are contributing evenly, while Miami looks deflated and lost. While the first game was close and went into overtime, the Bucks have dominated the other two games and won them by more than 30 points on average. We expect the Bucks to finish the series in Game 4 and win by at least six points.
Under 221.5 Total Points
After two of the first three games in the series have gone under, the bookies decided to decrease the line to 221.5 total points. Despite this, we still think that this game will go under. As we mentioned in our previous articles, both teams are among the best in the league in defense – the Bucks were 10th in defensive rating in the regular season, the Heat were 8th.
In addition to this, both teams know how to close down the main players of the other team, although the Bucks have had more success so far. The problem for the Heat comes from the fact that the Bucks have more players who can shoot and even create their own offense. But, under 221.5 still sounds like a smart bet on this game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 27.5 Total Points
The “Greek Freak” is one of the most dominant players in the NBA thanks to his physical attributes, but we don’t see him scoring more than 27 points in Game 4. After all, he scored 26, 31, and 17 points in the previous three games, for an average of 24.7 points per game.
The Heat are aware of the best ways to defend Giannis. Of course, it’s impossible to stop him completely, but it is more than possible to limit his point output by defending the paint well since Antetokounmpo isn’t really a threat from distance. Also, the other Bucks players have been playing great this series, so we don’t expect Giannis to force anything since he can trust his teammates to score when necessary.
Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks preview – Can the Heat avoid a sweep?
Never has an NBA team managed to come back and win after losing the first three games in a series, so the Heat are practically eliminated already. But Miami is a proud team and they will try to avoid getting swept in the first round. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at both teams:
Losing the first three games in the series against the Bucks is certainly a disappointment for the defending Eastern Conference champions, especially since they’ve eliminated the Bucks last season in the playoffs. Even more disappointing is the manner in which the team has lost the last two games after going down by thirty points in both of them. So, it remains to be seen whether the Heat can avoid being swept. On the bright side, the team is almost fully healthy with Victor Oladipo being the only player on the injury list.
After collapsing in the playoffs in the previous two seasons despite being the favorites in the East, the Bucks are finally looking like a winning team this postseason. It’s obvious that the addition of Jrue Holliday was a great one for the team, but other players like Middleton and Antetokounmpo are also looking much better than last season. The team enters Game 4 with a lot of confidence and they’ll try to sweep the Heat and get revenge for last season’s playoffs. Unfortunately, Donte DiVincenzo injured his ankle in Game 3 and he will miss the rest of the playoffs.
