Milwaukee Bucks to Win on Moneyline
The Bucks have been great in Game 2 of the series and they’ve simply demolished the Heat in that match. Things will certainly be more difficult for them in Miami and we expect a similar game to Game 1, which was hard-fought and decided after overtime. Of course, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo will have to play much better than they did in the first two games for the Heat to stand any chance.
But even if that happens, we still expect the Bucks to take Game 3. The Bucks are looking more determined than ever and it seems that they’ve finally found their groove in the playoffs. The experience of Jrue Holliday is definitely valuable to the Bucks and we expect to see another solid performance from Milwaukee and another win that will get them one step closer to the next stage.
Under 225 Total Points
The Bucks were making shots all over the place in Game 2, but the final tally only reached 230 points since the Heat failed to get to 100 points in that game. We expect Game 3 to be similar to Game 1 in this respect, so under 225 total points seems like a smart bet.
Miami will have to improve their defense and play as hard as they did in Game 1 in which they allowed the Bucks to score just 109 points, after overtime. The Heat fans will probably be another factor to motivate their players to play great defense, which they are certainly capable of since they’ve been 8th in defensive rating in the regular season. The Bucks have been 10th in the same category, so it’s not unreasonable to expect a low-scoring game.
Duncan Robinson Over 13.5 Total Points
Even though we expect to see a low-scoring game, Duncan Robinson has the ability to get over the line of 13.5 points. The sharpshooter scored 24 points in Game 1 before being reduced to 10 points in Game 2. However, Robinson scored those 10 points in just 23 minutes since the Bucks were ahead by too much. With more time, Robinson would’ve likely gone over in that game as well.
Furthermore, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo like to involve other players more than they like to score, which opens up space for Robinson and other Heat players like Dragic and Herro. We also like Goran Dragic and his experience, but we’ve decided to go with Robinson in this game because he is a starter and usually plays a few more minutes than the Slovenian.
Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks preview – Can the Heat save the series?
The upcoming Game 3 is crucial for the Heat since a loss would put them at 0-3 and no team in NBA history has won a series after going down three games to nil. With that in mind, let’s check the teams in more detail:
The Heat are down two games after their trip to Milwaukee and they need to win Game 3 if they want to stay in this series. The 6th seed was close to upsetting the Bucks in Game 1 after getting to overtime, but Miami completely fell apart in Game 2, which they’ve lost by 34 points. The defending Eastern Conference champions will have to play as good as they did last year in the playoffs, especially Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. The team is fully healthy, except for Victor Oladipo who only played a few games for the team before suffering an injury that ruled him out for the season.
After being eliminated by the Heat in the playoffs last year, the Bucks seem more confident and able to deal with Miami now. They won the first two games of the series in front of their own fans, but now we will see how the Bucks handle playing in front of Miami’s fans. Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holliday have all been good in the first two games, with Middleton hitting a game-winner in Game 1. The only player on the injury list for the Bucks is Thanasis Antetokounmpo, but he will probably spend the game on the bench even if he is cleared to play.
