Bucks vs Hawks Prediction

Hawks to Win

When the news broke that Trae Young will miss Game 4, everybody saw an easy win for the Bucks, especially since the Hawks were also without Hunter and with Bogdanovic playing with a knee injury. But the Hawks came out to fight and they lead by double digits at half time. When Giannis Antetokounmpo left the game in third quarter with a scary injury, the Bucks were done and the Hawks flew away with a series-tying win. While it’s still unclear whether Trae Young will play in Game 5, it’s pretty obvious that the Greek Freak will miss this game, even though he’s still listed as doubtful. So, we like the momentum that the Hawks have and we expect them to win Game 5.

Kevin Huerter Over 13.5 Total Points

We don’t know yet whether Trae Young will be able to take the court in Game 5, but if he ends up sitting out another game, then other Hawks will have to step up as they did in Game 4. One of those players is Kevin Huerter, who is averaging 11.8 points per game in the series. However, Huerter scored 15 points in the previous game with Young out, so our next Bucks vs Hawks prediction is for Huerter to score at least 14 points in Game 5.

Khris Middleton Over 27.5 Total Points

The second-best scorer for the Bucks has been struggling in this series, with the exception of Game 3 in which he took over the last quarter to get the win for the Bucks. However, Middleton is averaging just 21 points per game in the Eastern Conference Finals and his shots have not been falling in at all. Despite this, we suggest betting on Middleton to score at least 28 points in Game 5 simply on the account of volume – with Giannis likely missing the game, Middleton will have to bear the biggest offensive load for the Bucks.

Bucks vs Hawks Game 5 preview – Who will take the lead in the series?

With the teams tied at 2-2 after the first four games of the Bucks vs Hawks series, Game 5 can turn out to be the most important one. So, let’s check the teams in more detail ahead of Game 5:

Milwaukee Bucks

Before Game 4, the Bucks had the lead in the series and a clear bill of health with the exception of Donte DiVincenzo, who is out for the season. Meanwhile, the Hawks were due to play Game 4 without Trae Young, and everybody saw the Bucks taking another game in Atlanta. But the Hawks ended up dominating the game while Giannis Antetokounmpo had to exit the game with an injury, so things turned completely around for the Bucks. It’s still not confirmed whether Giannis will miss Game 5, but it certainly looks like it and he is listed as doubtful for the game.

Atlanta Hawks

Once again, the Hawks showed that they are ready for the biggest stage and that they can put up a fight no matter the adversities they face. Without Trae Young, along with Hunter and Goodwin, the Hawks blew the Bucks out in Game 4 to tie the series and with Giannis unlikely to play in Game 5 at least, they seem to be in good position at the moment. Of course, we still don’t know if Young will be available for the upcoming game, while both Bogdanovic and Capela are listed as game-time decisions – although we expect them to play in Game 5 of the Bucks vs Hawks series.
