How to download the Pokerstars app

Pokerstars is pretty unique in the respect that it has three apps for three different products. With that said, the download process is the same for each of them. Check out the steps below to see how to install the app for both iOS and Android:

  • Open up the App Store
  • Type in Pokerstars
  • Pick the app you wish to install
  • Enter your Apple ID details to confirm download

  • Visit the Google Play Store
  • Search Pokerstars
  • Choose one of the three apps
  • Trust the APK file and wait for install to complete

Whichever app you are looking to download, you should be able to get it installed within minutes. You can already download the Pokerstars app even if you haven’t signed up yet. Registration can easily be completed via the app.

Securing your sign up offer and registering on the Pokerstars app

As we’ve touched upon above, you can register for a new account from any of the three apps. The sign-up process is exactly the same regardless of which app you go through. However, it makes sense to register via the app that you plan to use! After you’ve given some personal info and created your sign in details, you will be good to go.

Concerning the welcome bonuses, Pokerstars doesn’t have a welcome offer for its sports betting product. There is a sign-up offer for both the casino and poker products, however. For the casino, you can grab 50 free spins without depositing a penny. This can be claimed once you’ve verified your account details. But there is an additional 100 free spins up for grabs once you’ve deposited and wagered £10. As for poker gaming, once you deposit just £10 you’ll get £40 to use as you please.Pokerstars app review

Betting options through the various apps

Sports betting app

Without putting you off, the sports betting app has the lowest rating of them all. However, in our experience, the app performs okay. There is a decent number of sports to bet on, including football, rugby, horse racing, tennis, plus others. This is also plenty of free bets, odds boosts, and even monthly competitions. The app might not run as smoothly as the other two, but it’s not overly difficult to use.

Casino gaming app

Spanning across five different gaming categories, you can enjoy hundreds of games here. This includes 24/7 live dealer options, huge jackpots, classic table games like blackjack and roulette, and a wealth of slot titles. The graphics when playing on the app are fantastic, and most games have very simple interfaces.

Poker gaming app

This is the best of the bunch, in our opinion. Then again poker is what Pokerstars is all about, so what could we expect really? This app is loaded with awesome gaming varieties such as cash tournaments, freerolls, twister tournaments, and so much more. The gaming setup is tremendous too – suitable even for complete beginners.

Getting involved and betting on the apps

It goes without saying that making a bet or gaming on the apps is different for each one. So for that reason, we’ve broken the process down for each app version:

  • Poker

For poker, you will need to choose which tournament you’d like to play first. A full schedule is available on the app, and you can then buy an entry ticket from the main lobby.

  • Casino

On the casino app, again, you must choose which game you’d like to play first. Unlike poker, there is no need to buy entry tickets. You just pick a game, choose your stake, and play.

  • Sports

Finally, the sports betting app has a different wagering process altogether. Here you must scroll through the sports and markets until you find a valuable one. Now you must tap the market to get it loaded into the bet slip. From here, enter your stake and place the bet.

Processing a deposit

The Pokerstars app supports a huge range of payment options. These include Apple Pay, G-Pay, debit cards, e-wallets, prepaid cards, and direct bank transfers. Each has its own positives and negatives. But in terms of processing the deposit, it couldn’t be easier. Just open the banking page, pick a method, and fund your account with the desired amount.

Best feature from each app

Sports – enhanced odds

We were seriously impressed with how often Pokerstars pumps out enhanced odds markets. This is an everyday occurrence on the app. And basically, it means you stand to get a better return if that market pulls through.

Casino – jackpots

The range of games from the casino app is admirable. But for us, it’s the jackpot games that steal the show. There is something about spinning the reels when there is the chance of thousands of pounds in prizes that just makes it far more exciting than others.

Poker – tournaments

Although you can play at standard cash tables on the poker app, we prefer the tournaments. There are just so many taking place around the clock that you really are spoilt for choice. And we love that so many players compete too, making things very lively indeed.

User experience across the board

Although the sports betting app has a much lower rating than the other two, we are perfectly satisfied with all of them. The apps are designed well, each product is high-quality and extensive, and they all perform well, in our opinion. The apps can also be accessed on tablet devices as well as smartphones, which adds to their accessibility.

Pokerstars App Summary – very promising

Without question, the poker app is the pick of the bunch. Then again, this is the product that has been in Pokerstars portfolio for the longest time. And to be honest, the casino app isn’t all that far behind in terms of its quality. Sure, the sports betting app could be improved with features such as streaming, but all in good time! For now, the apps are decent and there are many promising signs.
